Before her policy-making career, she served as advisor to the government on issues such as social reconstruction, social progress, community development, drug interdiction, drug intervention, and educational reform. Former Councilwoman Lady Shannan Ighodaro, is a Bahamian-born former elected official, strategic consultant, empowerment architect, and business executive whose work sits at the intersection of leadership development, public service, and institutional capacity building. With more than two decades of experience spanning government, education, community engagement, and global consulting, she is recognized for designing systems that strengthen organizations, elevate leadership, and expand access to opportunity across the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa. Hon. Ighodaro served as an elected official on the Miami Gardens City Council, where she made history as the first Bahamian American immigrant elected to office in the City of Miami Gardens, the largest predominantly African American city in the State of Florida.

Dr. Deborah Bartlett  is the Founder and President of the CEO Network which was established in 1997 to strengthen work ethics, raise levels of productivity and create a networking platform for economic empowerment. The motto of the CEO Network is “Empowering Professionals through Knowledge and Opportunities”. The motto of the CEO Network is “Empowering Professionals through Knowledge and Opportunities”.  Dr. Bartlett is the Visionnaire and Founder of the Economic Emancipation Empowerment Movement (EEEM) as well as the Visionnaire of Bartlett Media Enterprises (BME). Her leadership roles in journalism provided access and created platforms to interview some of the most celebrated leaders in the world. Dr. Bartlett has interviewed three of her country’s Prime Ministers. They are the late Sir Lynden Oscar Pindling, former Prime Minister the Rt. Honorable Hubert Alexander Ingraham and former Prime Minister the Rt. Honorable Perry Gladstone Christie.
