Hon. Ighodaro served as an elected official on the Miami Gardens City Council, where she made history as the first Bahamian American immigrant elected to office in the City of Miami Gardens, the largest predominantly African American city in the State of Florida.

Dr. Deborah Bartlett is the Founder and President of the CEO Network which was established in 1997 to strengthen work ethics, raise levels of productivity and create a networking platform for economic empowerment.
